Alcoa, Maryville agree to share football gate

Ok to anyone who has lived in or around Blount County know the magnitude of the Maryville Alcoa rivalry. Well, in the past the home team would take all the gate. This is standard practice all around, but the Maryville Alcoa game is the biggest gate of the year. I don't mean just a little bit bigger, it is a lot bigger. I have been to the game and the stands are full and people are 6 to 10 rows deep around the fence.
